Looking for a career change in addition to a change scenery? For many, the idea of starting afresh somewhere new is very appealing. The problem for some is that moving to a new place can be pretty frightening if you don’t know whether or not you’ll be able to secure stable employment. This prevents a lot of people from taking the first step and ultimately living the life they have dreamed of in another city, country, or even continent.
Luckily, relocation packages are not just for the highly educated or super experienced. Corporate relocation services are gaining in popularity across all sectors, even in jobs that require little or no experience. If you’re looking for a job that will relocate you with no experience, check out these seven options:
Job #1: English Teacher
Working as an English teacher is a common job that will relocate you with no experience. This is an especially great option for native English speakers who dream of living and working abroad. It might be surprising if you don’t know anything about the world of language teaching, but if you speak English as your first language, you’ve basically already got a foot in the door.
In many countries across Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Europe, English language teachers are in high demand and companies will pay to relocate and train you if you can prove that you’re a native level speaker.
In some cases, you’ll have to commit to a contract of a certain length, but once you’ve completed your initial stint and are certified, you can use your English teaching chops to travel the world!
Job #2: Business Development Trainee
Do you love talking to people, are good at building relationships, and are eager to learn more about the ins and outs of doing business? Business development professionals are in high demand across many industries and in some cases, companies will relocate and train you at their expense.
In this case, you’ll probably have to be a little flexible when it comes to timing and location, but there’s no doubt about the fact that opportunities are out there for the right person!
Job #3: Pharmacy Assistant
This is probably a better option for those who are open to living in a fairly small or remote location, but it can definitely be a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a quiet life or to be close to nature. Pharmacies in more remote communities often have a hard time staying fully staffed and will relocate people without experience to serve in a support role.
If you like working with people and are interested in becoming part of a small tightknit community, this could be a great choice.
Job #4: Sales Representative
If you’ve got a knack for talking people into things, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to find a company willing to help you relocate. Quality sales representatives are always in demand and business leaders understand that they have to be willing to make accommodations in order to get the best talent.
If you’ve got a place in mind that you’re dreaming about relocating to, do some research to find out what kind of opportunities exist for sales representatives in the immediate and surrounding area.
Job #5: Product Inspector
This is a good option for anyone with a sharp eye for detail and high-quality standards. Many large operators need Product Inspectors to ensure that their products leave the production line looking uniform and free of any imperfections.
Due to the high demand for this position, it is possible to find a company willing to help you relocate to work with them and help ensure that finished product quality meets the acceptable levels required by customers and the division. There is also room in these type of positions to advance.
Job #6: Restaurant Manager
If you have a bit of hospitality experience and are looking for an opportunity to relocate, you might want to look into restaurant management jobs. Although you’re unlikely to be considered for this one if you’ve never held any type of position in the hospitality industry, your busboy chops and winning personality might be all you really need to secure an interview.
For restaurants opening in tourist heavy areas, where the population is largely sustained by impermanent residents, there are plenty to relocation opportunities available.
Job #7: Packaging or Process Operator
If you’re motivated by safety, quality, and production goals, then there are plenty of relocation options available to you. In either one of these positions you’ll likely be responsible for things like ensuring all bags, codes, and cases are top quality, in addition to doing some administration tasks such as paperwork or data entry.
More process-focused jobs will entail coordinating line flow and confirming that all operational goals and customer specifications are met. There are always new production operations being built or expanding, and they are willing to relocate people who can prove they are committed to the position and eager to live in a new place.
